Hungary is an EU country with one of the world's best Passports.
An estimated four million Americans can be eligible for Hungarian citizenship by ancestry. A large number of Hungarian-Americans can be found in the Cleveland area.
Eligibility for Hungarian citizenship is not limited to those whose ancestor was born in the present-day territory of Hungary; it extends to those born in a region that was part of the Hungarian Empire (parts of Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, and Ukraine).
Hungarian citizenship by ancestry is one of the most open in the world. If you have an ancestor born in a territory that belonged to Hungary at the time, you are likely eligible for Hungarian citizenship by descent.
