Bahamas Digital Nomad Visa
The Bahamas is located in the Caribbean, about 100 miles across the water from Miami. The nation is no longer a British Overseas Territory following its independence from British rule in 1973. The Bahamas has one of the highest incomes per capita in the world and the country is a popular tourist destination. It's known for the famous and family-oriented Atlantis resort, among other locales. The Bahamas is one of the most tax-friendly countries in the world. The jurisdiction doesn't levy any form of income tax.
In late 2020, the Bahamas launched a Digital Nomad Visa, calling it the Bahamas Extended Access Travel Stay, or BEATS. The program provides an annual resident permit in the Bahamas for remote workers. The permit can be renewed a maximum of two times (or three years in total). It's open to remote workers and students.
