Provides a pathway to Australian Permanent Residency (PR) subject to meeting investment, residency and other requirements. The Significant Investor Visa is for an initial term of 4 years with the ability to extend for 2 additional periods of 2 years each. Investor can apply for PR after 4 years provided they have been invested in a complying investment for the entire time and stayed in Australia for an average of 40 days a year during the term of their temporary visa

Application Process
The following requirements apply:
Investment Requirements
- Make a complying significant investment in the following proportions:
- At least AUD 500,000 in venture capital and growth private equity funds which invest in start-ups and small private companies.
- At least AUD 1.5 million in approved managed funds investing in emerging companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
- A ‘balancing investment’ of at least AUD 3 million in managed funds that may invest in a range of assets.
- If the investment is withdrawn, it must be re-invested into another complying investment within 30 days.
Program requirements:
- You must provide evidence of sufficient funds for settling and living expenses for a minimum 12 months.
