Ireland offers some highly favourable advantages over its EU neighbours and is worth considering, particularly for those who are planning on fully relocating to the EU. The IIP grants residency in Ireland to those investing a minimum of €1,000,000 into an approved investment fund, plus fees. The IIP offers fast approval times, with the investment only required to be made after approval.

Application Process
Applicants may choose one of the following investment criteria:
Investment Requirements
- EUR 500,000 donation in a project that will benefit the arts, sports, health, culture, or education of Ireland. The investment amount is EUR 400,000 per investor if 5 or more investors pool their money together.
- EUR 1,000,000 investment in an Approved Investment Fund committed for a minimum of three years or investment in either a single Irish enterprise or spread over several enterprises for a minimum of three years.
- EUR 2,000,000 investment in any Irish REIT that is listed on the Irish Stock Exchange committed for a minimum of three years.
- Education
Other requirements:
- Investors can gain a €50,000 reduction in the amount needed for investment if they have children who wish to attend university in Ireland.
- Candidates must have a legally accumulated minimum net worth of EUR 2,000,000.
- Residency permit is renewed after 2 years for an additional 3 years, as long as the investment has been maintained. After this, Investor Visa holders can apply for an extension of their Irish residence permit every five years thereafter.
