Mexico
Wealth Visa
Mexico’s rentier and retirement visa programs provide a temporary or permanent resident permit to those who have a pension or stable employment income in addition to savings or investments in Mexico. Under the temporary resident visa, you are not allowed to take employment in Mexico. To maintain your temporary status, you need to be in Mexico at least six months of the year. The annual permit can be renewed up to four years, after which time the applicant can apply for permanent residency. Those who have the financial means, are retired or older than 62 can apply directly for permanent residency. Mexican citizenship is available after only five years of residency.
